Conveyor belt puzzle games have been around, in concept, for quite some time. It’s rare that you find something unique about them, which is why I was so excited to get my hands on Freshly Frosted.
I was able to play a demo of this delicious looking puzzle game, to figure out how it works. You are basically placing down factory conveyor belts to output the requested donuts. There are lots of different shapes, toppings, and fillings for your donuts, and lots of different bits of machines for you to use to produce the correct ones. There is also a box that is sending out the donuts and one that needs to receive it, for each individual type that needs to be received.
As you get deeper into the game, Freshly Frosted does get more challenging, with so many different donuts that need to be simultaneously created, once your factory is all set up. As the game has 144 puzzles, there are a lot of chances to stump you and trip you up on your donut placement! Dragging around your convayorbelts is easy, but ensuring they are in the right place is where you will find a challenge.
Freshly Frosted does a great job of showcasing a very polished and well thought out game. Once you are done building your conveyor belt, you will be able to watch your donuts become exactly what they need to become, while listening to the game’s rhythmic and fun music to go along with it! Freshly Frosted is just an adorable, well made, polished game that can easily become your new favorite factory puzzle game, if you give it some of your time to try it out.
I am excited for the release of Freshly Frosted, which is planned to come out this year, but for now you can wishlist the game on Steam.
